Rottnest Island Authority - Water Network Replacement - South Thomson and Longreach Design and Construct

RIA is seeking a provider for the Rottnest Island – Water Network Replacement -South Thomson and Longreach Design and Construct Project.

In 2020 RIA secured funding from the WA Government to complete a comprehensive upgrade of the island’s drinking water production and supply network. The RIA’s overall goal for the project is “to improve the resilience of the water supply in order to meet current and future drinking and firefighting water demand on the Island”, thereby providing a comprehensive solution to RIA’s water supply risks for the next twenty years.

To minimise the impact to visitors to the Island, a portion of this water network replacement has been released as a separate package of work so that construction of the new water network in South Thomson and Longreach can coincide with refurbishments works scheduled for 2022. RIA proposed coordination between the multiples projects to ensure works are completed during the 2022 shutdown period.

The Work Under Contract (WUC) work includes the design, manufacture, supply, installation and testing of water reticulation pipework and connections up to the Service Connection Valves in South Thomson. Connection of these works to an existing water supply will not occur until further work is completed.

The WUC is defined as two Separable Portions (SP). RIA Reserves the right to award one Separable Portion only.
