SA Department for Infrastructure and Transport
20C070 NSC T2D Disconnection of Electrical Services
Details
Description
Prior to the commencement of any demolition works (onsite), electrical services are required to be disconnected at each nominated property.
This Contract is seeking electricians to undertake the disconnection of electrical services at each nominated property in order to undertake safe pre-demolition activities and surveys.
Works includes disconnecting electricity beyond the meter box at each property (for both residential and commercial) scheduled for demolition. This is done to ensure that there is no power going beyond the meter into the house and all electrical parts including switchboard, main switch, fuse box and safety switches are isolated and disconnected. This is also a safety precaution measure to prevent unauthorised people using power or removing live cabling inside the house and getting injured/electrocuted.
This electricity disconnection will be undertaken before SA Power Network abolishes the electricity connection between the property and the street.
