Provision of Courier Services

Interested parties are invited to tender for the provision of a secure professional courier services for the delivery and collection of mail and associated items to various State-wide locations in both metropolitan and regional areas (“Project Requirements”) to the Minister for Education acting through the Department for Education (“Principal”) in accordance with the instructions.

A number of mail and distribution services both internally and externally include:

• Mail sorting
• Ad-hoc Courier Services
• The external “red bag” mail service which offers direct mail lodgement with Australia Post; sending information and other material to government Departments and external organisations or individuals
• The Department for Education internal “green bag” mail service which offers a sorting and delivery service to the Department for Education Sites from internal and external sources
• Warehousing
• Supply

To ensure the Distribution Centre continues to receive uninterrupted courier services, the provision of ad-hoc courier services, and scheduled mail runs between various Department for Education sites (and other nominated government/non-government sites including Department for Child Protection, TAFESA and Catholic Education SA) with the inclusion of GPO mail clearing and lodgement; and parcel pickup/delivery via the Department for Education Distribution Centre is required.
