SA Department for Child Protection
Survey Software for Children and Young People
Details
Description
The Department for Child Protection is seeking quotes for provision of survey software specific to children and young people.
The Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017 s10(b) requires that:
‘if a child or young person is able to form their own views on a matter concerning their care, the child or young person should be given an opportunity to express those views freely and those views are to be given due weight in the operation of this Act in accordance with the developmental capacity of the child or young person and the circumstances.’
DCP therefore require survey software as one of the primary tools to enable children to have a voice in line with the requirements of the Act.
Interactive Surveying software is required as it enables data capture on an individual level for case planning purposes and aggregate level for system review, planning and development. The software must provide a vehicle for case workers to more easily engage with children in discussions about what’s important to the child, and enable data to be integrated with a child’s case record.
