Description

Public Transport Authority (PTA) is currently undertaking a project to add Automatic Signals Blocking (ASB) facility to 35 absolute intermediate signals to aid in the implementation of safe working in long sections of track and with the removal of inefficiencies in maintenance and fault rectification.

The signals to be provided with the blocking facility are of 2 different types:

  • Microlok controlled intermediate signals: present at Mandurah line; and
  • Relay controlled absolute signals (relay interlocking): present at Butler, Midland, Armadale and Fremantle lines.

At four (4) Relay controlled absolute signals locations there is a requirement to have pipe and pit between two adjoining signals to provide the blocking.

This Tender is for the supply and installation of Pipe and Pit and associated works (1 under bore, retaining wall and hand rail):
