Description
The City of Charles Sturt currently provides a range of essential Home and Community Care services for frail, aged and people with a disability and their carers within the council area including, but not limited to: minor home maintenence; gardening; rubish removal; gutter cleaning; shopping; respite and socialisation services; centre based day care; and in-home cleaning services. The services are provided to eligible residents to assist them to live independently in their community. Council is responsible for determining the eligibility of residents requesting the relevant service(s).
The service comes under the Community Care section of Council and are funded by Council, and the State and Federal Governments Home and Community Care Scheme (HACC). Services provided are required to comply with the Community Care Common Standards and SA HACC Service Principles.
