RFT 2527 - Railway Culvert Replacement Project - Katunga & Toolamba West

Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) is seeking tender submissions from suitably experienced civil contractors to undertake the Railway Culvert Replacement Project located at Katunga and Toolamba West. This project includes replacements of 4 rail culverts:

ST056368 is a railway culvert located under the Shepparton-Numurkah Railway line on the Murray Valley No. 6 Channel south of Katunga.

ST056367 is a road culvert located under Numurkah Road on the Murray Valley No. 6 Channel south of Katunga and immediately east of ST056368.

ST047146 is a railway culvert located under the Toolamba‑Echuca Railway line on the Central Goulburn No. 3 Channel at Toolamba West.

ST054727 is a railway and road culvert located under the Shepparton-Numurkah Railway line and Numurkah Road on the Murray Valley No. 6/5 Channel south of Katunga.

The scope of works generally involves, but not limited to:

• Preliminary project documentation, including GMW induction and site establishment.
• V/Line coordination for works next to and under railway line including Track Force Protection
• Locating of services and traffic management.
• Implementation of GMW’s Energy Isolation Procedure and dewatering.
• Open trench pipe laying installation of reinforced concrete pipe at two sites (the RC pipes are supplied by the Principal).
• Supply & installation of HDPE carrier pipe, including provision of pipe spacers, inside the concrete casing pipe at one site.
• Installation of reinforced concrete headwalls at two sites (the headwalls are supplied by the Principal).
• General earthworks, backfill and rock beaching placement.
• Site clean-up and disestablishment.

Application approvals is expected to commence early March 2024 with construction works expected to be completed late July 2024.

A site inspection will be offered but not mandatory and will be held on Wednesday 17 January 2024. Tenderers are to refer to Annexure A of document Part A, B & C item 11 for locations and times.

Tenderers are to refer to clause Annexure C (1.5) within document Part A, B & C in preparation of a LIDP in accordance with the Local Jobs First Policy and Guidelines which is a mandatory requirement of this tender.
