Wodonga Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade - D&C

North East Water is seeking the services of a qualified and experienced contractor to upgrade the Wodonga Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The general scope of works includes:

1. Inlet works

a. Replace existing Step Screens

b. Replace Wash Press

c. Replace inlet structure walkway covers.

d. Associated electrical/mechanical works

e. New Macerator (provisional item)

2. Chemical Dosing

a. New Lime Silo

b. Chemical Dosing system upgrade

3. Sludge Handling System

a. Removal of existing belt press

b. Installation of additional Centrifuge

c. New Sludge conveyor

d. New sludge hopper

e. Roadway, New Hardstand and concrete areas

4. Electrical works

a. Upgrade of electrical works & PLC Controls to provide a logical module system

b. Replace electrical cabling and tray

5. Miscellaneous Works

a. Upgrade Access Roads (gravel)

b. New Security Gate

c. Removal of Redundant plant & equipment as specified

North East Water requires a Principal Contractor that has an OH&S management system that is fully certified by a certifying body against one of the standards / assurance systems listed by both the Department of Treasury & Finance (DTF) and Worksafe. Tenderers must have one of the following approved OHS assurance systems that is independently certified/audited for currency, to be considered eligible to participate in this tender:

(a) ‘Safety Map’;

(b) AS 4801 2001: OHS Management Systems;

(c) Civil Contractors Federation Management Code;

(d) Australian Government Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme; and

(e) ISO 45001 2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

North East Water encourages Contractors to undertake the DTF’s prequalification process to enable registration for construction and/or construction related services on the Construction Contractors Register. The Victorian Government and Public bodies such as North East Water may use the Construction Contractors Register to create shortlists of Contractors to invite to submit tenders for Public Construction and Construction Related Services.
