Description
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) Building Engineering and Maintenance (BEMS) has identified the need for works to upgrade and provide a compliant loading dock for the Gympie Hospital allowing safe transit of delivery vehicles through the hospital grounds and safe manual handling of goods to and from the loading dock.
The works will include the following:
a) Demolition of the old loading dock
b) Relocation of inground services
c) Construction of a new loading dock in accordance with the attached drawings
d) Remediation of limited aspects of the attached building
e) Civil works to the roadway and carpark area
f) Line marking of existing and new parking spaces
g) Replacement of curbing
h) Replacement of concrete paths and drainage systems
i) Installation of new external lighting systems
j) All necessary engineering certification
k) All necessary permits and approvals for local and statutory requirements
l) Building certifiers approval upon completion
Gympie Hospital is a fully functioning hospital and operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. The utmost care must be taken to minimise any disruption to the delivery of clinical services and supporting operational services.
