The Department has an obligation to conserve and maintain this important cultural asset. Further, the Department has a financial obligation to have artwork, currently valued at greater than $5,000, revalued every year as per the Non-Current Asset Policies for the Queensland Public Sector mandated by Queensland Treasury. A comprehensive revaluation is to be performed every five years with desktop revaluations performed in the interim years.
