For the provision of specialised consultancy services for the review of the regulated waste framework

The Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (EHP) is inviting offers from suitably qualified consultants with demonstrated experience to review the regulated waste framework to provide clarity for determining if a waste is regulated by analysing national and international frameworks for contaminants of concern that must always be regulated, developing an adequate and transparent testing regime; identify waste substances of concern to Queensland; set concentration limits and thresholds for waste substances of concern; and populate the decision making framework proposed in the discussion paper to assist waste generators to correctly classify their wastes.
