Redevelopment of Mossman Gorge Lower Track

The principal intends to upgrade the existing lower river walking track which follows the river and provides multiple viewing locations. This walking track will follow the existing alignment with the project scope including construction of new pedestrian bridges, viewing platforms, and renewal of the walking track. The lower river walking track is a class 3 walking track of approximately 300m, and has high visitation by eco tourist operators and the general public alike. Current visitation is a yearly average of 2500/day.
The Principal requires a suitably qualified contractor with demonstrated skills and experience to undertake all activities associated with the construction of these upgrades.
Construction drawings have been completed for this upgrade and these drawings and the technical specifications have been attached as supporting documentation.
The proposed upgrade objective is to complete the following components;
• Component 1 - Preliminaries
• Component 2 - Demolition
• Component 3 – Walking Track Construction
• Component 4 – Interpretative Signage
• Component 5 – Viewing Platforms and Pedestrian Bridges
The Principal is asking a Contractor to review the scope of work and overall objectives for the upgrade and provide a response that meets the mandatory requirements and evaluation criteria as per the tender response forms in the Request for Quote document.
