Principal Contractor - Townsville Green Feeder HV Part Replacement

JCU Invites you to submit an offer for the Principal Contractor to complete the Townsville Green Feeder High Voltage Part Replacement Project.

JCU owns and operates its services infrastructure including high voltage reticulation from Peter Arlett Sub Station by way of 3 feeders known as green feeder, red feeder and blue feeder, combined they supply an authorised demand of 10MVA. The section of green feeder from Peter Arlett station to GMS 2 has been repaired 5 times and creating a significant risk to the HV infrastructure serving the Douglas campus. The works included in this stage of the project will eliminate that risk by providing one completely new bulk hauled HV cable, housed in a continuous run of conduit, terminated into GMS2 to the east and terminated by a 3 phase Triplex/Triplex UG waterproof jointing kit into the existing line to the west.

The delivery of the works will be in accordance with AS4905-2002 (JCU Amended) Contract with works expected to be completed by mid December 2022.
