R7096: AIR7000 Ph2B Maritime Patrol Aircraft Replacement Interim Facilities Project, RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA (MW-2 2004)

Tenders are invited from suitably qualified entities to undertake the role of Design and Construct Contractor for certain works on the basis described in the Request for Tender Documents.

The first P-8A aircraft acquired as part of Project AIR7000 Phase 2B is due to arrive in Australia in November 2016. The associated schedule for the permanent facilities for Project R7096 confirms that infrastructure works in support of P-8A operations will not be complete before the end of 2020,resulting in a facilities gap.

The aim of Project R7096, Maritime Intelligence, Surveillance Reconnaissance and Response Capability, RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA – Interim Facilities project is to provide new and upgraded interim facilities to facilitate the introduction and transition of the Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft.

The new or refurbished interim facilities to be constructed at RAAF Base Edinburgh will includes the adaptive reuse of existing facilities and infrastructure. The types of interim facilities to be developed include administration, operations (including secure spaces), aircraft maintenance hangars; workshops to conduct operational level aircraft maintenance, aircraft pavement line marking, project stores and associated engineering services.
