Description
The Department for Correctional Services (DCS) seeks to engage qualified supplier(s) to deliver a Wellbeing and Resilience Program and a Peer Support Program with the following objectives:
- Enhance workforce capacity to thrive within the unique and challenging environments of correctional services.
- Provide targeted coursework, resources, and support to staff cohorts most in need.
- Implement a cost-effective and efficient wellbeing and resilience programme that achieves its intended outcomes.
- Maximise engagement with frontline staff and leadership while minimising risks associated with programme delivery by partnering with supplier(s) experienced in:
- Mental health and wellbeing support for frontline staff
- Evidence-based positive psychology approaches
- Demonstrated ability to meet agreed outcomes
- Develop and deliver training for the Peer Support Programme to ensure Peer Support Officers are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to:
- Act effectively in their role
- Provide practical peer support in a safe, appropriate, and informed manner
