Particulars

The NETM program will develop and deliver 100 micro-credentials over a four-year pilot period. Micro-credentials in the NETM will be commissioned in response to industry-identified skills needs. The NETM and its governance process will facilitate increased responsiveness to industry requirements than in traditional models of education. Through the development of the Introduction to Manual Composite Layup Techniques, the Authority is looking to deliver the following learning outcomes: • Understand difference between dry and pre impregnated materials, their preparation and storage requirements • Apply release agent to tools/moulds and extract completed parts • Hand form multi layers of fabrics to moulds (incorporating a range of internal and external curvatures, lap & butt joins) • Understanding & selection of consumables for compaction & final cure of composites • Apply a compaction & final bag to the layout & mould & understand the curing process. WSU has been selected by the Tender Evaluation Team as offering the best technical solution and best value for money. Approval of this brief signals WPCA’s acceptance of the quote from WSU. A work order contract will be issued to WSU under the terms and conditions of the previously agreed Deed of Standing Offer.
