Supply, Delivery and Commissioning of Orthopaedic Surgical Tools and Optional Service & Maintenance for Rockingham General Hospital

Rockingham Peel Group (RkPG), a healthcare provider for people in the south coastal metropolitan area, is part of the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS), one of the fastest growing health services in Western Australia and comprises of two hospital campuses, Rockingham General Hospital (RGH) and Murray District Hospital, in addition to community and mental health services across Peel, Rockingham and Kwinana.

WA Health is focused on managing improvements in health performance, particularly in the areas of Emergency Demand, Elective Surgery, Outpatients and Mental Health. WA Health is committed to meeting the National Elective Surgery Target (NEST) and National Emergency Access Target (NEAT) reforms outlined in The National Health Reform Agreement – National Partnership Agreement on Improving Public Hospital Services.

Orthopaedic surgery focuses on bones and muscles (the musculoskeletal system). It includes the repair of broken bones and injuries to ligaments and tendons, investigation and repair of damaged joints, and treatment of other bone conditions. Rockingham General Hospital is seeking this contract to replace its current aged orthopaedic power tool systems.
