Provision of Security Guard Services at Major Western Australia Police Facilities

The Western Australia Police Force operates several facilities, quite distinct from their normal, everyday “visible” presence (i.e. police stations), which are dedicated to the support of their overall operations.

The WA Police Force requires the provision of licensed security agents to provide regularly scheduled security guard services at the following major facilities:

• Perth Police Headquarters, 2 Adelaide Terrace, East Perth;
• Joondalup Police Academy, 81 Lakeside Drive, Joondalup;
• Maylands Police Complex, 21 Swan Bank Road, Maylands;
• Midland Operations Support Facility (OSF), 2 Clayton Street, Midland;
• Perth Police Complex, 2 Fitzgerald Street, Northbridge;
• Curtin House, 60-72 Beaufort Street, Northbridge; and
• 99 Plain Street, East Perth.

The security guard services may include a combination of some or all of the following services (but is not limited to):

• Static security guard/reception;
• Alarm responses;
• Visible foot patrol service;
• Management of the security access control system;
• Monitoring of the perimeter, grounds and building exterior using Closed Circuit Television (CCTV);
• Managing vehicle and personnel access to the facility where assisted entry is required; and
• After-hours reception.
