WA Department of Water
Construction of Tracks and Pads, Dampier Peninsula, WA
Details
Description
New monitoring bores are required to provide valuable data and fill knowledge gaps that will complement and improve the Department of Water’s understanding of groundwater resources across Western Australia. This investigation is part of the Royalties for Regions groundwater investigation projects. The investigation will lead to:
• Improved information on water availability
• Support regional development by making water an opportunity rather than a constraint.
The DoW is employing the services of drilling contractors to install groundwater monitoring bores. To provide drilling contractors with a safe and easily accessible working area, up to five (5) pads will need to be installed, access tracks to these pads will need to be constructed, and sections of existing tracks will need to be upgraded . The DoW is therefore seeking an experienced grading contractor to complete the Works under Contract.
