Digital Health Mobile Channel

The project is intended to be iterative and follow principles of continuous improvement and agility. The first release of the mobile application and the purpose of this RFT is for the mobile application(s) to connect to the My Health Record system with the possibility of extending this functionality in the future.

As well as providing the mobile application(s) this tender is also seeking the supporting analytics and reporting infrastructure to ensure usage and crash data can be reported to improve future releases and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The Mobile applications will connect to the My Health Record system via the system’s Mobile Optimised HL7™ Fast Health Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) standard gateway which supports two interaction models for consumer-focused applications:

•Interaction Model 1 which is for mobile applications which talk directly to the My Health Record Mobile/FHIR gateway; and

•Interaction Model 4 which allows the mobile application to connect via an intermediary server.

Responding tenderers may choose either approach with their tender offer outlining which approach they are taking.

There is potential for the successful Tenderer to be involved in additional phases, which will be tactically planned to reach parity with the National Consumer Portal, provided engaging the successful Tenderer for that work is consistent with applicable laws and policies. A strategic plan to design functionality specific to mobile will be defined for future phases.
