Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
Standing Offer for supply and transportation of Carbon Dioxide (Co2)
Details
Description
The Approach to Market is seeking to establish a Panel for the supply and transportation of carbon dioxide. Potential Suppliers are requested to provide a secure guaranteed supply of carbon dioxide and prioritise the provision of requested volumes of carbon dioxide both to the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry as well as other potential customers.
Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), clade 2.3.4.4b, poses a significant threat to Australia’s agricultural industry as well as environment and health sectors. An incursion of HPAI will require a rapid response from Australian Government and State and Territory Governments.
Infected poultry stock may need to be humanely depopulated in order to contain any outbreak. Carbon dioxide is a mission critical supply that will need to be rapidly procured in material volumes.
Establishing a Panel for the supply and transport of carbon dioxide enable potential cutstomers to secure a guaranteed supply in response to an incursion.
