C8923 - : POINT WILSON WATER SIDE INFRASTRUCTURE REMEDIATION

Registrations of Interest are invited from suitably qualified organisations to undertake the role of Managing Contractor for the project at the Point Wilson Explosive Area.

The project will involve the development, design and construction of the required remediation and upgrade works to bring the currently non-operational Point Wilson Wharf to full operational status. The works will include remediation and upgrade to the wharf and jetty structure including minor building works to the amenities buildings and services upgrades and replacements.

The project's timeframe is anticipated to be:
Development Phase (design and Parliamentary approvals) to be complete by June 2011
Delivery Phase (construction) to be complete by the end of 2014.

Noting there are significant cost and capability benefits to the Commonwealth through an accelerated project program resulting in an earlier finish to the project.

The total value of the project is estimated to be in the order of $50-75 million (out turned).
