Description

Upon commissioning of the Morley-Ellenbrook rail line, the PTA intends to utilise turnback infrastructure at Daglish station to turn services on the Fremantle line. While tracks, switches and signalling system are in place to execute turnback operations, further improvements are identified to incorporate Daglish turnback facility into long-term service operations. The necessary infrastructure must be in operation to support the introduction of the MEL service timetable by December 2024. The following is a summary of the scope of the works that are required to be delivered by the Contractor: Illuminated Driver’s Walkway;Toilet Facilities for Drivers;Service Connections;Communications;Stop Bollards and other Signage Alterations; andPerimeter Fence Upgrade. The Contractor is responsible for the construction of these scope of works, including provision of materials and obtaining required approvals. The PTA has scoped the works into three work packages: Core - Design Assistance and Long-Lead Material Ordering.Scope 1 – Civil Package (including all “minor works” that are key to delivery such as the path, handrails, lighting, and fencing etc).Scope 2 – Toilet Installation Works (including communications and all pit & pipe required to service the toilet).
