Description

The Family and Domestic Violence Response Teams (FDVRTs) model is a partnership between the Department of Communities (Communities), WA Police Force and non-government domestic violence services that began in 2013. The partnership aims to improve the safety of child and adult victims of family and domestic violence through timely, early and coordinated intervention following a police call out to a family violence incident. The FDVRTs operate in seventeen Child Protection districts across Western Australia. In most locations the teams are co-located at police stations. Communities receive approximately 48,000 Family and Domestic Violence Incident Reports (FVIRs) a year from WA Police. The Family and Domestic Violence Triage (FVIR Triage) application is Communities key business tool that receives these incident reports, its core functions are: Conduct joint risk assessment of FVIRs.Work out who is best placed to respond to the families identified in the FVIRs.Coordinate responses between partner agencies.Investigate multi-agency case management for high risk cases. FVIR Triage is delivered on the Microsoft Azure platform since 2022, replacing a legacy application developed on the PeopleSoft platform with similar functionality. Approximately 20 tickets per month logged related to its operation. Communities is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide ongoing support to this application. It’s envisaged this Contract will succeed the current support arrangement starting 1 January 2025.
