Conversion of Fire Stairs to General Circulation Stairs

The Queensland Parliamentary Service is seeking proposals for the Conversion of Fire Stairs to General Circulation Stairs.

Depending on requirements these works specifically include (but not limited to):

1. Design of compliant hand rails and provision of shop drawings and schedule of finishes to QPS for approval by building certifier
2. Demolition of existing internal handrails
3. Removal of wallpaper on internal handrail plinths and sand to smooth finish
4. Paint plinths
5. Install new fixtures, rectify of slip resistance, and provide contrast nosing on stairs and other requirements as specified in Appendix B – Schedule of Works.
6. Comply with Australian Standards and BCA as referenced in Appendix B – Schedule of Works.
