Description

Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol (QBFP), a division of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) requireds the services of an experienced contractor to service the two (2) main engines of QBFP Patrol Vessel KI Ross.

The two (2) main diesel engines (Caterpillar Model 3412TA-C) are the original ones supplied with the vessel in 1998.

The required works are as per Caterpillar's (manufacturer) service manual recommendations. The works include, but are not limited to;

  • RockerShaft Assembly Adjustment
  • Raw Water pumps replaced
  • Transmission Oil coolers - remove, clean and install
  • Thermostats - remove, test, replace, install
  • Aftercool cores - remove, clean, and install
  • Fuel Lines - inspect, remove and replace
  • Main Seals, front and rear - remove and replace
