Description
The Department will engage the services of a trades contractor to undertake the statutory inspection and maintenance of Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services (QPWS) assets in North Queensland. This involves six (6) monthly inspections of electrical equipment (test and tag), fire extinguishing and monitoring equipment, and annual inspections of gas appliances at residences, ranger bases, camp sites and day use areas. A total of 42 sites are currently included in this scope of work. This is a statutory requirement for work place health and safety. Inspection regimes and details are in accordance with the QBuild Asset Maintenance Strategy QBS380 Rev 6 July 2010 Blue Book.
