Feasibility Study and Concept Design - Fremantle Unisex Universal Accessibility Toilet

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) intends to install a Unisex Universal Accessible Toilet (UUAT) at Fremantle Station. In 2019, the PTA conducted an architectural study for the provision of a feasibility study to install/build a UUAT in the station building inside the female toilet or cleaner?s room. Due to the complexity being a heritage building and security concerns the proposal and the solution offered did not go ahead for the construction phase. Hence, the PTA plans to install a UUAT at the Western end of the platform as a modular/prefabricated UUAT building to comply with Disability Standards Accessible Public Transport 2002 (DSAPT) and the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA). This project will follow the EM4P process tailored for low-risk Cat 1 projects. In this process, PTA?s PE will be engaged during the concept design stage to develop the Project Requirement Specifications (PRS) for construction. As an option, the Design Consultant that will be engaged through this RFQ will take over PE?s roles for quality and risk management during detailed design, and construction phase on behalf of PTA. In addition to that, this contract will be carried out though to the end of the project for Entry into Service (EIS) and Final Asset Acceptance (FAA)
