Description
The Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment invites submissions from suitably qualified and experienced consultants to develop surface water hydrological models for selected Tasmanian catchments. The project will establish daily surface water balance and routing models of the catchments identified below allowing extension of records using rainfall over approximately a 100 year period compared with observed stream flow records of greater than 10 years. These models will support the development of catchment water management plans in Tasmanian catchments. The models will also provide an integrated and more informed approach to the reliable allocation of water for human uses, industry and the environment. The targeted catchments under this project are as follows: Duck River, Panatana Rivulet, North West Bay River, Leven River, Mountain River, Sisters Creek, Claytons Rivulet, Emu River, Montagu River, Orielton Rivulet, Cam River, Swan River, Welcome River.
