Description

The AAD is seeking tenders from suppliers capable of providing high quality Services for the supply of five portable medical diagnostic ultrasound units for use on ships and in station medical facilities as part of the medical support of the Australian Antarctic program (AAp), with two units to be supplied by June 2008.

The Polar Medicine Unit of the Australian Antarctic Division strives to provide medical support to the AAp to the highest international standard, and to mitigate as far as possible the risks of medical practice within AAP operations.

Purchase and delivery of two units by June 2008, with further units to be supplied 2008-9 and 2009-10.The AAD will standardise on the successful tenderers equipment for a further two years with the proviso that these additional units may not be ordered if operational requirements change during that period.
