Description
The Tasmanian Government intends to divest a group of eight Government owned buildings that are located between the Hobart waterfront and the central business district. The site, known as Heritage Square, has an overall area of approximately 7 322 square metres and is located behind Parliament House and bordered by Murray Street, Davey Street and Salamanca Place. It is intended that the sale and redevelopment of this site be progressed in a structured and considered manner to ensure that the eventual outcome of the site meets the expectations of Government, key stakeholders, local businesses and the community. On this basis, it is intended to progress the sale through a three stage Expressions of Interest (EOI) process. The initial stage is expected to occur in March 2008 and will seek submissions from parties interested in acquiring and developing the site. The Department of Treasury and Finance seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to provide services associated with the formulation, management and assessment of the Stage I EOI process.
