WA North Regional TAFE
Broome Campus Roof Mount Solar PV System
Details
Description
The Principal is pursuing two (2) solar PV renewable energy power systems for installation at its Broome Campus in Western Australia. These two systems will be separate and independent systems commissioned separately and on separate buildings within the campus.
There is consultant verification that although the systems will be attached to a building, there is no building license required.
These two (2) systems will remain separate parcels of work for pricing and quoting purposes.
The solar PV system is in line with the Principal’s commitment to sustainability objectives. The installation will offer significant financial benefit to NRTAFE in the form of reduced electricity costs and these savings will further increase in the future as the cost of electricity continues to rise. This will also build capacity for further savings by being able to provide excess power back the grid. The solar PV system will also decrease the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions resultant from the Broome Campus.
