CSIRO
Australian National Fish Collection (ANFC) Hazardous Storage Expansion
Details
Description
CSIRO through this RFT is seeking responses from suitably qualified, licenced and experienced service providers for the provision of construction services for the expansion of storage area at the Australian National Fish Collection located at CSIRO Hobart.
This project will make changes to four existing office rooms in Building 5. Two existing rooms in the office area will be converted into the flammable liquid storage room, where fish specimens will be stored in ethanol or isopropanol solutions. In the Compactus Room, small fish specimens will be stored in jars and drums on the compactus shelves. Large specimens in the Tank Storage will be stored in 450 L to 500 L plastic tanks.
Two existing laboratories will also be modified. The only modification in the Tax Lab is the addition of new shelving (for documents) on the northern wall (near the entrance to this lab). Modifying the Registration Lab will involve changing the existing island bench/shelving and adding additional new storage joinery. The northern side of the island bench will be removed, leaving the southern side (and the shelving above) intact.
