Panel Arrangement of Team Leaders and Quality Evaluators to Undertake Quality Evaluations

The Commission, in consultation with the mental health sector, has developed a quality framework designed to assure individuals, their families, carers, advocates, the WA community and Government that funded Community Managed (non-government) Organisations (CMOs) understand and apply:
• Good governance principles
• Effective operational practices; and
• Continuous service improvements.

The CMO quality framework consists of an ongoing cycle of evaluation and assessment processes which measure organisational performance against a set of consumer-focused Outcomes Statements (Outcomes) and the National Standards for Mental Health Services (NSMHS).
In support of the quality framework, the Commission is seeking to establish a Panel Arrangement of Team Leaders and Evaluators to undertake quality evaluations of relevant CMOs contracted by the Commission to deliver community based mental health services.

The Commission is seeking responses from:
• Individuals (contractors/consultants);
• people who are living well with mental illness; and
• family members and carers of people with a mental health problem or mental illness.

The Commission is not seeking to engage firms per se; rather it is seeking to engage individuals as contractors to provide the services. People living in rural/remote locations are encouraged to apply. It is the skills, abilities and perspectives of the nominated persons that will be assessed for admission to the Panel Arrangement. Accordingly each person wishing to offer to provide these services will be required to lodge a response to this Request.
