- Project overview:
1.1 The Rural City of Murray Bridge (Council) has entered into a Community Water Supply agreement with SA Water to receive treated effluent from the Swanport Village Road Pump Station for the irrigation of public open space along Swanport Road and nearby reserves.
1.2 A new recycled water (treated effluent) pipeline is required to be constructed along Swanport Road from an off-take point at the junction of Virgo & Ridge Roads. The objective is to extend the new pipeline to the intersection with Long Island Road, an approximate distance of 1,625 metres. The new recycled water pipeline shall be a DN150 PVC-O PN12.5 RRJ (Purple).
1.3 Two additional off-takes from the SA Water system are also proposed to facilitate irrigation of Council reserves that are located away from Swanport Road.
1.4 The pipeline construction shall be performed under AS 4000-1997 General conditions of contract and Practical Completion of the pipeline installation shall be achieved by 31 May 2022 in accordance with a Commonwealth funding agreement for the works. Commissioning of the new pipeline using treated effluent from the new SA Water pump station is envisaged to take place in April/ May 2022.
