Provision of Amenity Packs

Queensland Rail Limited seeks a company that can propose and supply a collection of body products to support travel on Spirit of Queensland RailBed and Spirit of the Outback Sleeper services. Suppliers are required to propose a travel pack with a natural/organic/sustainable/Queensland/First Nations (if relevant to Supplier) theme for the Spirit of Queensland Service and Spirit of the Outback Service. The pack will comprise of a collection of unisex travel products that will enhance the journey for one person.

Background:

Spirit of Queensland RailBed Service

The Spirit of Queensland RailBed service is a premium, all-inclusive style of travel, between Brisbane and Cairns, taking 25 hours; it is a modern rail experience where customers will discover true Queensland hospitality and service. It is considered a ‘coastal’ service, connecting people to many of the coastal areas along Queensland’s east coast. Customers receive a complimentary travel pack making the journey more relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable.

Spirit of the Outback Sleeper Service

The Spirit of the Outback Sleeper service is an all-inclusive, more traditional style of travel between Brisbane and Longreach over 26 hours. This is considered one of our ‘western’ services where customers will experience beautiful outback scenery in the west of the state. Customers are invited to enjoy warm Queensland hospitality by joining the Tuckerbox dining carriage for meals and have use of the Shearer’s Rest lounge to relax outside of their Sleeper throughout the journey.

Both these services provides onboard showers and toilets (where liquid body gel and soap is offered). Therefore, it is recommended that Suppliers take this aspect into consideration when suggesting their product range. The amenity pack is available for complimentary use as part of the Sleeper fare. The current Spirit of the Outback travel pack is made up of the following items: lip balm, face cleanser, moisturiser (body and face) bar of soap, promo card, co-branded cosmetic bag packaging.
