The Provision of Security Vetting Services

The overall objective of this procurement is for ASVS to implement a panel of security vetting contractors to assist with the provision of security vetting services.
Suppliers will be required to assess the suitability of individuals to hold a security clearance at a particular level and make a recommendation of the individual’s suitability to have access to security classified resources
Security assessments of individuals will:
• be conducted on an individual case basis
• be conducted in premises that satisfy a protective security assessment conducted by ASVS
• be conducted in compliance with the security requirements outlined at paragraph 1.11 of the RFT
• be undertaken on computer equipment provided by ASVS
• include a summary recommendation of suitability for the sponsored level of security clearance as prescribed in the ASVS Standard Working Procedures (SWP) or any updates as issued by ASVS
• comply with all relevant provisions of the Privacy Act 1988
• comply with any direction issued by ASVS in relation to the assessment of the individual, and
• comply with the relevant standards contained in:
o the ASVS SWP, Vetting and Administrative Instructions, and Procedural Advice Bulletins (PAB)
o the PSM or if superseded, its replacement, and
o any other relevant guidelines as directed by ASVS from time to time.
