Mailroom services for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Canberra, and the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), Canberra, and airfreight delivery services to Australia's Diplomatic and Consular posts overseas.

DFAT invites tenders for the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Service Provider to provide mailroom services for DFAT and Austrade in Canberra and to provide airfreight services for delivery of diplomatic mail to Australia's Diplomatic and Consular posts overseas (overseas posts).

The Services are to be provided by a single Service Provider.

The mail room services required include the following
(i) Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail to work units;
(ii) Collect outgoing mail from work units;
(iii) Dispatch mail via Australia Post or courier as appropriate;
(iv) Collate and package diplomatic mail for delivery by airfreight to overseas posts.
The Service Provider is required to provide DFAT with airfreight services for the delivery of diplomatic mail to overseas posts on a regular scheduled weekly or twice weekly basis as set out in the RFT. Ad hoc consignments will also be required from time to time. The delivery requirement is of door-to-door service.
