Request for Tender for the provision of Airport Building Controller Services for Western Sydney Airport

The Department is required to appoint an ABC in order to meet its regulatory requirements and obligations for the Project under the Act and Regulations. An ABC is responsible for ensuring that activities at an airport site meet the appropriate building and engineering standards. All construction and building activities must be notified to the ABC and appropriate building activities also require ABC approval in order to carry out the building activity.

The Regulations require that all airport building activities are conducted consistent with the airport master plan and any relevant major development plan and that the Airport Leasing Company’s own planning objectives are properly taken into account. An ABC is required to administer the Regulations in the context provided by the above plans and objectives.
