Gambling Helpline and Gambling Help Queensland Website

The Queensland Government provides funding for an organisation to deliver the Gambling Helpline and Gambling Help Queensland Website to provide accessible support for individuals seeking Gambling Help and support services in Queensland. The Gambling Helpline (GHL) provides: • immediate help and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year • brief counselling intervention – which may include supporting the individual to recognise and understand their own or someone else’s gambling behaviour and assist people with their immediate crises or concerns • referrals to the appropriate GHS based on the location of the caller (if the caller chooses) or referral to other specialist supports(including for assistance with self-exclusion) • information provision – which may include resources and advice on the range of help options available, including Gambling Help Services (GHS) and other health and community options, provided verbally and by email if the individual provides details. The Gambling Help Queensland Website (GHQ) provides: • a self-assessment tool and gambling calculator • information resources and self-help guide • a directory of face-to-face GHS, online and telephone counselling and support services. This procurement activity aims to identify one suitable supplier to deliver the GHL and GHQ over a three year and three-month period, from 1 April 2023 to 30 June 2026.
