Groundwater Bore Census for Pioneer Burdekin PHES

Queensland Hydro are inviting Suppliers to quote for the provision of Groundwater Bore Census for the for the Pioneer-Burdekin Pumped Hydro Energy Storage Project (PBPHES).

The scope of this procurement includes, but is not limited to:

• Desktop assessment
• field based bore assessment (Field Works – Stage A)
• water quality sampling and assessment. (Field Works – Stage B).

The purpose of the Study will be to:

• Establish baseline conditions of groundwater in the wider area
• Provide background information to support future groundwater investigations
• Provide data to aid in the development of a detailed regional groundwater model.

This study will inform development of the Project’s DAR and will form the basis for a more detailed study as part of a future statutory environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Project.
