Description

The WA Police have a requirement to ensure it has sufficient numbers of qualified staff to fullfil requirements relating to the reconstruction and analysis of serious and fatal crash scenes. The Major Crash Investigation Section (MCIS) of Western Australia (WA) Police currently have a team of four Crash Reconstruction Analysts who have considerable experience and qualifications in the reconstruction and analysis of serious and fatal crash scenes. However WA Police also require that it has officers who are trained to a basic level of reconstruction analysis so that they can conduct a Forensic Crash Report (FCR1) when the specialists are not available. As such, the respondent is required to deliver the Australian Skills and Quality Authority (ASQA) accredited course, RCIGAT401A – Gather and Record Road Crash Evidence – Basic Crash Investigation.
