Translocation and Captive Care of rock and Notopala sublineata sublineata. Any collection and care of the snail will have to be undertaken in accordance with the conditions of the Section37 permit (Fisheries Management Act 1994). The Notopala sublineata sublineata snail is listed as a Critically endangered species under the NSW Fisheries Management Act 1994 (FM Act). While undertaking a site survey for the Aquatic Impact Assessment for the Louth Weir Fishway Review of Environmental Factors live snails were found. Following this a section 37 permit under the FM Act was obtained to do further surveys of live snails at Louth and Tilpa Weirs. During this survey populations of live snails were recorded at both Louth and Tilpa. It was determined that the Proposed Northern Basin Toolkit – Fish Passage project at Louth will have a significant impact on the snail.
