Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care
Community engagement and promotional services to increase participation in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program
Details
Description
The Department of Health and Aged care is seeking tender responses to provide community engagement and promotional services to increase participation in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program in 2023-2024.
Bowel cancer is the second most common cancer diagnosed in Australia. The National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP) aims to reduce deaths from bowel cancer by detecting the early signs of the disease. Through the NBCSP, all Australians aged 50-74 will receive a free at-home bowel screening test in the mail every two years.
The Department of Health and Aged care is requiring services to increase overall participation in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program in 2023-2024 through community engagement and promotional services. The tender application has been separated into two pillars:
- Communication and outreach to convert under-screened audiences
- Community Engagement
The evaluation of tender responses may result in one or multiple contracts being awarded. Proposals may cover a single pillar or both pillars.
Priority audiences include:
- Eligible Australians aged 50 – 74 with a skew to underscreened groups
- First Nations
- Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities (CALD)
