Description
Queensland Rail is seeking to engage a qualified demolition contractor to remove specified components of the Greenvale Rail Overbridge at Yabulu, over the Bruce Highway.
An out of service rail overbridge along the Greenvale Line, over the Bruce Highway, was struck on the Northern side by an over-height vehicle on 02 December 2017. The truck struck the centre of the middle/second span causing major damage to all four (4) girders, parapets and transverse bars. Whilst there are a number of approaches to remove the structure, there are two options presented to tenderers for the demolition works to be undertaken.
