Aviation Training

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for DES122880 Aviation Training from suppliers that specialise in aviation roles for fire management consistent with the Fire Aviation Training and Assessment Framework (FATAF), Public Safety Training Package and incorporates a ‘safety first’ culture.

Requests for quote will be sought for the delivery of training in the following roles:

• Air Observer
• Air Attack Supervisor
• Operate Incendiary Equipment (Aerial Incendiary Operator)
• Incendiary Operations Supervisor (Aerial Incendiary Supervisor)

Training would be delivered to QPWS personnel and fire management partners, including First Nations people.

The training provider would be required to source or supply suitable aircraft and training facilities.

The training provider will be responsible for and will ensure the training provided meets the requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act and all aviation regulation requirements and be consistent with QPWS aviation guidance material (current or in development).
