Provision of Canteen Supplies for WA Prisons

This Request is for the provision of Canteen Supplies to Western Australian Prisons (including detention centres). The Panel Arrangement will be mandatory for the following Perth metropolitan prisons and Detention Centre: Bandyup, Banksia Hill, Boronia, Casuarina, Hakea, Karnet, Melaleuca, Wandoo and Wooroloo. Regional prisons, such as, Albany, Broome, Bunbury, Kalgoorlie, Greenough, Pardelup, Roebourne and Derby will be encouraged to utilise the resultant Panel Arrangement where value for money can be demonstrated.

Canteen products required as part of the Panel Arrangement will include products under the following categories:

1. Food Products
2. Tobacco Products;
3. Personal Products (toiletries, medicated supplies, etc.); and
4. Other products (sporting equipment, shoes, pillows, doonas, children’s items, clothing and electrical products).

The Head Agreement established as a result of this Request may be awarded in any of the following ways:

• A panel of suppliers.
• A single supplier across all categories; or
• A single supplier for all items in a category;
  The resultant Head Agreement will constitute a standing offer, whereby Customers can place Orders on an ‘as required’ basis during the Term.
