Description

The Department of Environment Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR) is seeking to identify companies that are suitably qualified to deliver trial services associated with:

  1. Assessing the performance of pasture species grazed by dairy cows on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
  2. Assessing the suitability of various herbicides to selectively control kikuyu in irrigated chicory and lucerne pastures.
  3. Communicating trial findings to the broader community, specifically dairy farmers located in the Mount Lofty Ranges.

DEWNR is in the planning stage of this project, however it is anticipated that any trial sites established as part of this work will be monitored for 3 years. The trial work will be located on the Fleurieu Peninsula. An important component of the proposed project is communicating trial findings to the broader community, specifically dairy farmers located in the Mount Lofty Ranges.
