Description
The Victorian Government released Victoria’s Technology Plan for the Future – Biotechnology (VTPF – Biotech) in October 2011 to consolidate the State’s national leadership in biotechnology and to promote biotechnology-enabled innovation to increase productivity across the Victorian economy. The Department of Business and Innovation (DBI) has lead responsibility for the delivery of the programs and objectives of the VTPF – Biotech.
The Service Provider will provide data and other information (along with analysis and commentary where appropriate) on the Indicators listed in the RFT to allow DBI to monitor the strength of the Victorian biotechnology industry and to track progress against the product-development and exports targets specified in the VTPF–B
The biotechnology industry is broadly defined: it includes the health, agricultural, industrial, and environmental biotechnology subsectors.
