NCIS-7B – Building Works, Osborne -- Invitation to Register Interest -- Head Contract (HC-1 2021) – Construct Only

The works include the following:

i. the construction of a facility with two levels, with approximately 13,700m2 in total area on a 29,100m2 site. The facility will provide administrative support for the Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) ship build project and technical laboratories for the integration and testing of combat systems prior to installation of the HCF. The facility is likely to include the following:

A. office accommodation;

B. reception, security office and administration areas;

C. collaboration areas, breakout space, resource areas and amenities;

D. uninterrupted power supply (UPS), battery room, fire pump room, bike store, vehicle carport, switch rooms and plant areas;

E. specialist workshops, labs and equipment rooms for testing;

F. mission systems production facilities;

G. auditorium and meeting rooms;

H. training rooms;

I. rooms with high security classification features;

J. open space work areas;

K. communication and patch rooms;

L. café and seating area both internally and externally;

M. landscaping; and

N. gym;

ii. the potential design by the contractor of limited aspects of the works such as post-tensioned concrete slabs, and selection of transformers, UPS devices, pumps and valves; and

iii. the construction of new engineering services infrastructure including:

A. site preparation and civil earthworks;

B. roadworks including two new access points from Victoria Road;

C. pavement treatments for new roads and carpark as well as heavy duty permeable pavers and gravel hardstands;

D. piped stormwater drainage network, including water treatment structures, subsurface infiltration tanks and detention basins, stormwater harvesting, and tanking and recycling;

E. potable water supply and metering from SA Water network including connection to on-site fire water tanks and pumpset, and potable pumpset;

F. trunk feed into fire tie-in pipes for building internal sprinklers and fire hydrants;

G. sewer pump station and rising main connection to SA Water network;

H. fencing, gating and security/traffic access control measures including boom gates, card readers and road spikes;

I. high voltage electrical cabling complete with associated pits and conduits to external facilities and area lighting;

J. low voltage electrical cabling complete with associated pits and conduits to external facilities and area lighting; and

K. communications cabling, pits and conduits for fibre optic, ethernet and instrumentation cabling reticulation.
